Where is the paint code on a Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep?

Label on the driver's door jamb. Three characters, almost always starting with P: PXR (Diamond Black), PW7 (Bright White), PRV. Catalogues often add a leading X or trailing digits.

Step by step

1. Open the driver's door and read the label on the B-pillar or the rear edge of the door.
2. Look for the code next to PNT or PAINT; it usually starts with P.

No label?

Labels fade or go missing after repairs. A Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep dealer can read the original colour from the VIN, and the service booklet often lists it. If the car has been resprayed, have a painted part (the fuel filler flap is ideal) scanned at a paint shop.
