Privacy

What data is processed when you read carpaintcode.com, who processes it and what your rights are. Last updated 29 October 2026.

The data controller is the CarPaintCode editorial team, Sofia 1000, Bulgaria, email kontakt@carpaintcode.com.

In short

  • There are no accounts, no sign-up forms and no ads, and we use no advertising pixels or social-network trackers.
  • We count visits with Umami, a privacy-friendly statistics tool that runs on our own server and sets no cookies.
  • Cookies are set only if you allow them in the banner at the bottom of the page. They belong to Google Analytics, described below.
  • The make, model and year finder runs in your browser. What you select is not sent to us.

What data is processed

Visit statistics (Umami). We record the address of the page you open, where you came from (the referring site), the browser and device type, the country, and the date and time. Umami does not store your IP address and does not build a profile of individual visitors. If your browser sends a “Do Not Track” signal, the statistics do not count you.

Hosting (Cloudflare). The site is delivered through Cloudflare. Like any web server, Cloudflare processes the technical data of each request (IP address, browser, page address) to deliver the page and protect the site from attacks. More: Cloudflare’s privacy policy.

Email. If you write to kontakt@carpaintcode.com, we use your address and message only to reply and to check the correction you report. We do not pass them to third parties.

Google Analytics 4 (only with your consent)

Since 29 October 2026 we also use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages are useful to visitors. The service is provided by Google Ireland Ltd. (Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland), which processes the data on our behalf.

  • Purpose: anonymous usage statistics: which pages are opened, how long they are read, where visits come from, device and browser type. We do not use this data for advertising and do not combine it with other data about you.
  • Cookies: _ga and _ga_VC69BDK86R are set only after you press “Allow” in the banner at the bottom of the page, and are kept for up to 2 years. They tell repeat visits apart and contain no name, email or other direct identifier.
  • Without consent: until you choose, or if you press “Decline”, no cookies are set. Google Analytics then receives only a cookie-less signal about the visit, with no identifier that recognises you later (page address, browser type, whether consent was given). The advertising signals stay switched off even if you allow analytics.
  • Legal basis: your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). Your choice is stored only in your browser (local storage, key consent-v1).
  • Withdrawing consent: you can change or withdraw it at any time with the “Cookie settings” button at the bottom of every page. If you press “Decline”, the site deletes the _ga cookies from your browser.
  • Transfers outside the EU: Google may process the data in the United States. Google LLC takes part in the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, for which the European Commission adopted an adequacy decision on 10 July 2023.

Your rights

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) you have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and objection. To use them, write to kontakt@carpaintcode.com. You may also complain to the Bulgarian Commission for Personal Data Protection or to the data protection authority in your own country.

Changes

If we start to use advertising or other services that process personal data, we will update this page first and show the date of the change.
